Who are the members of your family?

The Beaphar Social Experiment

If we asked you to draw a picture of your family, would your picture be same as your parents’ or children’s?
The logical answer would be ‘yes’, but as it turns out, this may not always be the case.

Beaphar is a pet healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturer with a global reach but a family business at heart, with three generations of the Aa family having been at the helm since the business started in 1942.

At our core is this sense of family, which has been the inspiration behind the strapline: ‘Because pets are family too’.

So confident are we in their strapline, that we have decided to put it to the test in our brand new video. Four families from four different European countries participated. In a separate rooms the children were asked to draw to a picture of their family, while their parents were asked to name all family members.

According to a 2016 GfK global survey, close to 6 out of 10 families have pets at home. Our furry, feathered and fishy friends bring so much to people’s lives without even trying, so the results of our simple question ‘who are the members of your family?’ should have been an easy one for everyone to answer.

As our video reveals, the answers from children and adults were very different, with all the children who took part being dismayed by their parents’ answers.

Daan Aa, Company Director, said: “At Beaphar we fully believe that our pets are just as important to our family as our parents or our children, and so we create accessible, affordable quality healthcare products for pets. By helping pet-owners keep their pets happy and healthy, we ensure that all families across the world can enjoy the bond with their pets to its fullest.”

Beaphar is a global manufacturer of healthcare and pharmaceutical products for pets, which operates in 86 countries worldwide.
