Product reference 17399UK
The Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray uses pheromones which are clinically proven to promote feelings of reassurance in dogs. This handy spray is perfect for use around the home, in dog crates and the car to help keep dogs stress-free when travelling.
The Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray is a simple and effective solution to reducing problem behaviour in dogs, such as barking, furniture destruction, urinary marking, excessive licking and scratching, or general feelings of anxiety.

This handy spray is perfect for use anywhere around the home, and can be sprayed directly onto your dog's bedding, helping them feel settled and preventing destructive behaviour, or in dog crates and the car to help keep dogs stress-free while travelling.

Beaphar CaniComfort® contains a copy of the naturally produced Dog Appeasing Pheromone, which is instantly recognisable to dogs. It is naturally produced by the bitch when she nurses her puppies, and gives a continuous and reassuring message to let dogs know that this is a safe and calm area for them to be in. This can be incredibly valuable when bringing home a new dog, helping them settle quickly into their new routine.

Ideal for everyday use, during events such as fireworks or parties, and is especially useful in dog crates during stressful travel or trips to the vet or kennels. Each application lasts for up to 5 hours.

Suitable for dogs of all ages.

  • Q How long does each application of Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray last?
  • A Each application of Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray lasts up to five hours.
  • Q Can I spray Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray onto my dog?
  • A No, Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray should NEVER be sprayed directly onto your dog or into a dog crate while your dog is inside. This could harm your dog.
  • Q Can Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray be used to reduce motion sickness during car travel?
  • A Yes. Motion sickness in dogs can be greatly aggravated by stress, which can cause hyper-salivation, nausea and vomiting. Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray can help to reduce this stress, thus helping to reduce the symptoms associated with motion sickness. Using Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray in your dog’s crate and/or the car can help reduce stress before and during transport, and avoid the appearance of these symptoms. Simply spray in each corner of the crate 15 minutes before introducing your dog to the crate or car.
  • Q How long should I use Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray?
  • A The spray should be used for every journey, trip or visit to the vets, as often as needed. The spray lasts up to 5 hours and can be reapplied as necessary. It can also be used on targeted areas around the house for as long as it takes for the problem behaviour to stop, or before potentially stressful situations are anticipated.
  • Q Can Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray bottles be recycled?
  • A Yes. Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray bottles are made from recyclable plastics (PET).
  • Q Can the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray be taken on a plane?
  • A DO NOT carry the spray by plane. The liquid inside the spray is highly flammable and unsuitable to be carried by plane.
  • Q Is Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray safe to use if you are pregnant?
  • A There is no interaction between people and the pheromones in Beaphar CaniComfort®, so it is safe to use. It is also safe to use around pregnant animals.
  • Q What is in Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray and why does it smell?
  • A The spray contains a synthetic copy of the Dog Appeasing Pheromone in an alcohol-based solvent. The odour comes from the liquid and will quickly subside.
  • Q Can I use the liquid from the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray in a Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Diffuser?
  • A Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray is alcohol based and should NEVER be used in the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Diffuser . This could pose a serious fire risk.
  • Q What should I do if my dog’s behavioural problem is not solved after one month?
  • A There are several possible reasons that your dog's behaviour may not have improved after one month of using the product.
  • If the organ that identifies pheromones (Jacobson's organ, also called vomeronasal organ) is inflamed, your dog may temporarily be unable to identify pheromones.
  • It is also possible that your dog's behaviour is not related to stress. Lack of appetite, excessive licking or aggression, for example, may be symptoms of physiological or organic diseases. If in doubt, consult a vet. Make sure your dog really has the ability to change their behaviour. For example, urination in inappropriate places may be due to the inability for your dog to frequently access a suitable space to urinate, or territorial scent marking due to a rival dog in the area frequently marking their territory.
  • Similarly, excessive barking could be due to inadequate stimulation and a lack of activity causing boredom.
