Welcome to Beaphar CaniComfort®
Dogs are extremely intuitive animals, often sensing our stress and anxiety. So, if something is stressing or troubling you, you may find your dog is feeling uneasy as well.
But, it is not just our stress that may cause dogs to feel anxious or unsettled. Specific stressful situations, such as fireworks, travelling in the car or visiting the vets, and new experiences, such as a new home or learning period, can also cause our dogs to feel unsettled.
Unfortunately, dogs can’t tell us when something is troubling them or making feel nervous or uncomfortable. Instead, this discomfort is often displayed through destructive or problem behaviour, such as furniture destruction, urinary marking or hiding, which can be very distressing for dog owners. When this occurs, particularly in the home, it results in both dog and owner feeling their home is not the relaxed, comfortable and reassuring environment it should be.
Help restore the calm, stress-free atmosphere to your home with the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Range.
The pheromones used in the product range are clinically proven to promote feelings of reassurance in dogs. This makes them particularly useful for dogs suffering from anxiety or stress, or facing a new experiences such as a learning period or new home.
The Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Range includes:
- Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Diffuser
- Beaphar CaniComfort® 30 Day Refill
- Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Spray 30m
Pheromones: How they work
Pheromones are naturally produced chemical substances that are instantly recognisable between animals of the same species. Different pheromones trigger a specific instinctive response from the animal.
When nursing her puppies, the bitch produces Dog Appeasing Pheromones. These pheromones trigger an instinctive calming response, helping the puppies feel safe and reassured, and is a crucial part of the bonding process.
By using a copy of the Dog Appeasing Pheromone in the Beaphar CaniComfort® Calming Range, we can mimic this calming effect, providing dogs with a message of continuous reassurance. This allows dogs to feel more relaxed and comfortable, helping to reduce problem behaviour. Because the Dog Appeasing Pheromone triggers an instinctive response, this means it can be identified by dogs of all breeds and ages, and regardless of whether they were hand-reared or nursed from the bitch.
When dogs feel comfortable and reassured, they are less likely to exhibit problem behaviour, such as furniture destruction or urinary marking.
